What is this, really?

Vera is a science-fiction world I've been building — a young, isolated space colony with its own government, its own currency, its own network, and a story that keeps unfolding. This site is the front door to it.

Project: Farspan is the name of the whole thing — in the fiction, the codename for the colonial initiative that reached across the far dark to found Vera, and this site is its "declassified record." I'm SilverMethod, the person actually building it.

I should be honest about what it is and isn't. I'm not an artist by trade. I'm not a writer by trade. I'm just a nerd who built a world and wants to share it. I'll be commissioning art and help in the areas I'm weak in to bring this world to life — that's what your support makes possible.

The idea is simple: the product is the story. Vera is an evolving, serialized experience you can follow, support, and eventually become a permanent part of — a colony whose record is still being written, and one you can help steer. Right now that means the world, the dispatches from the colony, and the SOS terminal that's on its way. Over time it means more: regular story, art, and things you can hold.
