Smith & Holden Industrial Solutions, known as SHIS (“like a snake’s hiss,” the company says, without apology) or simply Smith & Holden, now keeps a public office on the Colonial Network at col.shis.corp.
When a citizen sells ore at market, Smith & Holden is the buyer and handler, and the handling fee pays for that work. The company carries out servicing and repair at Vera Orbital under contract to the VCA, and it operates most of the colony’s refinery stations and ship repair yards. Its own specialised craft work the contracts it has been awarded: station building, ship repair, and harvesting ore.
Smith & Holden is a private company approved to operate in Vera Space. The whole company came out to the colony together, with its tooling, its processes, and a safety creed it would like every new employee to recite. It is hiring.
